Founded in 2018 off the back of our owner’s passion for the industry, our mission is to provide the highest quality outdoor living structures on the market. This includes premium modern awnings, which have become one of our most popular offerings.
We’re based in Stoke-on-Trent, but serve customers across all of England, Wales, and Scotland. Thanks to our central location, our outdoor living showroom – which is the largest of its kind in the UK – is easily accessible from anywhere in the country if you’d like to experience the quality of our work first-hand.

In the hearts of Staffordshire and Cheshire, our founder, David Brian, embarked on a journey to redefine outdoor living spaces during the vibrant 1990s. With a hammer in one hand and an unwavering spirit in the other, David began installing windows, doors, and conservatories, laying the foundation of what would become a remarkable story of innovation, quality, and dedication.
As the new millennium dawned, the market witnessed a significant uplift in product quality, opening doors to new possibilities. The garage door market was burgeoning, and David, with his keen eye for opportunity, expanded his horizon, working with national companies and installing products across England, Scotland, and Wales.
However, it was a trip to a trade show in Germany in 2011 that sparked a new chapter in David’s career. He discovered the glass veranda market, a concept well-established in Europe but alien to the UK. Seizing the moment, David introduced this revolutionary product to the UK market, quickly becoming a trailblazer.
By 2015, another innovative product was making waves in Europe – the bioclimatic pergola. Recognising the potential in a market still untapped in the UK, David aligned with a forward-thinking company to introduce this product to British shores.
The pivotal moment came in 2017. Armed with years of experience, a vision for change, and a passion for enhancing outdoor living, David, alongside two trusted friends already versed in business, founded Open Space Concepts.
Our mission was clear: to serve all of England, Scotland, and Wales by offering the highest quality outdoor structures, transforming gardens into year-round living spaces.
