Brilliant company; From initial contact to final installation, they have surpassed all expectations. The final product is better than we could have imagined & we are very grateful for all their help on our outdoor project & veranda.
v Long version: My wife & I, plus our children, are guilty of not using our garden as much as we could or should, even during the better summer months. A good chunk of the reason for this is actually quite simple; oak trees in the garden give off so much sap, that any garden furniture left uncovered can feel like it's covered in honey. Things are always covered & as a result the doors cannot just be opened and the kids unleashed, we have to get everything ready. It sounds silly, but it does mean its sometimes just easier not to go into the garden.

We decided a solution to this would be to have a veranda installed along most of the length of our rear patio, which would protect the furniture (if the roof glass gets covered in sap, so what, we don't sit on that and it's easily cleaned by our window cleaner). We wanted also to have an under-blind installed on part of this veranda, to provide better sun protection in the summer than a parasol.

Many hours of googling uncovered a handful of companies, able to install verandas as well as under blinds, to contact. I asked the same question of each - could you give me an idea on the price of a 4m x 3m veranda. This was not our final size (in fact it was 10m x 4m in the end), but enabled like for like comparisons. Unsurprisingly, many wouldn't quote like this. They want to book in a sales visit before any numbers are discussed.I had little interest in having to facilitate multiple visits from different companies, all of whom would then likely hassle repeatedly until an order is placed - I have had bespoke projects like this done before and I know the score. However, two companies would give me an idea on price, yet only one of them operated as though this is entirely standard practice - Open Space Concepts. For them this is entirely normal procedure - If you have an idea on what you want, they will create a quote for you there and then and simply leave you to contact them if you would like to discuss more. If it turns out that product/size is exactly what you need & there's no funny requirements on your own particular property, then the price won't change. Of course, the next step is to then have them round to measure properly and discuss specifics.
